There is power in the words we speak. Careless words can destroy lives through character assassination, slander, hatred, jealousy, pride (to name a few) immediately after they are spoken and heard publicly. A person can be left feeling defaced and stripped of their identity. Purposeful words of encouragement and love impact hearts and foster healing, value, worth and special purpose within. We all can appreciate grace, mercy and compassion. In this journey in relationship with Jesus Christ we are to be rooted and grounded in truth, love and stand on our faith. Your words count! Let us all make them count for the kingdom of light.
Father God makes our conduct of the tongue very clear. It is written: Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. 1 Peter 3:10
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen Ephesians 4:29
